About Massage Works

Hello, I'm Jeni! Thanks so much for popping over to my website.

I thoroughly enjoy the world of massage and believe in the personal touch (no pun intended) so I'd like to tell you a bit about myself.

After an international swimming career, 10 years teaching PE in local secondary schools and the first two children born, I felt I could finally begin my massage journey.  I have ALWAYS wanted to do massage as I really believe in the numerous benefits it brings, but it was never quite the right time.  However in 2015, along with my next two children (twins!), life allowed me to pursue my massage adventure. I initially qualified in Swedish and Pregnancy Massage and in early 2017 I passed my Advanced and Deep Tissue qualification.

So why do I offer the different types of massages? Well, SWEDISH Massage is a fantastic way to relax the body and who doesn't love that?  I feel with the sporty (and injury prone!) side of me I can relate to my clients who enjoy a DEEP TISSUE massage. I currently treat many athletes leading up to a sporting event or part of their training schedule.  And PREGNANCY - after 3 pregnancies, the last one being twins, me suffering from SPD (pelvis disorder) and spending most of it on crutches, I struggled to find a decent pregnancy massage. I also feel that I understand pregnant ladies and their wonderful bumps, having been through a few myself!

My aim at Massage Works is for each client to have their own bespoke treatment and to leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I treat from my beautifully converted garage at my house in Caversham Heights.  Before your first visit I will send you a consultation form. Please complete this so you do not need to arrive any earlier than your appointment time.

Coming soon to Massage Works is Oncology Massage plus. More news to follow.

I'm looking forward to meeting you!
